SYSTEM TEST ENGINEER

This individual is responsible for defining, documenting, and executing system development and preshipment system acceptance test plans and procedures for assigned Geneva projects. These duties include working with project management personnel in developing test schedules and coordinating test logistics.  Work with system development teams to develop working test procedures and requirements traceability by understanding system requirements, requirements verification, design elements pertaining to system operation, expected system behavior, and available test interfaces is required.  The system test engineer is expected to aid in establishing standard practices and procedures, ensure that all Geneva personnel involved in test execution adhere to established practices and procedures, and ensure that all requisite documentation, data collection, and data capture is completed and preserved for each test event.  Executing tests includes setup, configuration, and operation of the system UUT and necessary test equipment.
 
Essential functions:

• Works with management to establish, maintain, and continuously update system test processes
• Coordinates acceptance test readiness reviews and test review boards
• Ensures effective and safe conduct of test events
• Updates test procedures for completeness and efficiency
• Develops and executes unit and system acceptance test plans and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 yrs experience in development and execution of system test operations.
• Knowledge of both hardware and software systems
• Knowledge of basic test equipment operation (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field
• Experience with embedded avionics or related systems.

Additional Comments:

• Experience with MIL/DoD practices
• Familiarity operating Windows and LINUX/UNIX
